Dr. Maggie Wilkes DANIEL ISLAND - Dr. Maggie Wilkes passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, after a courageous two-year battle with breast cancer, surrounded by the love of her family. Her Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 13, 2025 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, at 12:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel. Maggie was a devoted wife and loving mother to her two children, Evie, 11, and Noah, 9. Her family was the center of her world, and she brought the same compassion and dedication to her home that she brought to her professional life. Dr. Wilkes practiced as an adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist at Roper St. Francis Healthcare, where she found deep fulfillment in caring for her patients. Her colleagues and patients alike knew her for her gentle spirit, professional excellence, and unwavering commitment to healing. Maggie lived life to the fullest, with a passion for travel and music that took her family on countless adventures and filled their home with joy. She cherished the simple pleasures in life, especially her weekly coffee dates at Cafecito, where she and her husband Travis would steal precious moments together amidst busy schedules. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Malvina, and her dear sister, Diana. She is survived by her loving husband, Travis, her children, Evie, 11, and Noah, 9; her father, Alex Keselman; her brother-in-law, Michael and nephews, Jacob and David; her sisters-in-law, Mande (Alex) and their children, Nathan, Leve and Lila; Malena (Roi) and their children Boadi, Banks and Parker; mother and father-in-law, Anati and Tuvia. She is also survived by many loving relatives and cousins. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her exceptional colleagues at Roper St. Francis Healthcare, whose wonderful care and compassion provided comfort during the most difficult of times. Dr. Maggie Wilkes will be remembered not only for her professional achievements but for the warmth, love, and light she brought to everyone whose lives she touched. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she healed, the family she cherished, and the beautiful memories she created.
