Maggie Barrineau Obituary

Maggie Morris Barrineau Andrews, SC - Mrs. Maggie Morris Barrineau, 84, wife of the late Andrew Murry Barrineau, went home to be with her Lord surrounded by her family and friends on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Barrineau was born in Andrews, SC, a daughter of the late Rufus Benjamin Morris, Sr. and the late Gladys Lawson Morris. She grew up in the Piney Forest community and graduated from Williamsburg High School. Mrs. Barrineau rose through the ranks to become a Department Manager at Oneita Industries in Andrews, SC and retired after 44 years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Andrews First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, the company of her children, family, friends and her beloved Bichon Frises, Miss Dolly and Max. Surviving are her children, Jane Chard (David) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Dennis Barrineau (Tara) of Amelia Island, FL and Glenn Barrineau of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren, David Bennett, III, Andrew Bennett, Caroline Barrineau and William Barrineau; one great-grandson, Luke Bennett; two sisters, Tiny Morris Murray of North, SC and Gail Morris White of Andrews, SC; brother, Gordon "Buddy" Morris (Joan) of Andrews, SC. She was predeceased by two sisters, Sarah Ellen Morris Cannon and Ann Morris Mobley; two brothers, Billy Dewayne Morris and Rufus Benjamin Morris, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in the Andrews First Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, SC, will be in the Andrews Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in the Andrews First Baptist Church Social Hall, 102 N. Rosemary Ave., Andrews, SC 29510. Mrs. Barrineau leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and compassion for her family and friends. She will always be sweetly remembered and greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
