Mae Austin Vroman
Goose Creek - Mae Austin Vroman 92, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Henry Alvin Vroman, Jr., died on February 24, 2026.
Mrs. Vroman was born May 27, 1933 in Sanford, NY, daughter of the late Theodore Marsh Austin and Harriet Sophia Bennett Austin. She graduated in 1951 from Afton Central High School in Afton, NY. She devoted much of her life to various church ministries, teaching Sunday school classes for 20 years to the high school and singing in the choir for 35 years. She enjoyed being a caregiver. She is survived by her children: Cheryl Hopkins of Summerville and Charles Vroman of Virginia; one brother, John Austin of NY; grandchildren: Kanesa, Melissa, Courtney and Charles Jr.; great-grandchildren: Corey, Christian, Xavier, Victor, Silas, Natalie, Madison, Sophia and Chloe.
