Mae Dunn Obituary

Mae Dunn COTTAGEVILLE, SC - Mae G. Dunn, age 70, of Cottageville, SC passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013 in Cottageville, SC after a long battle with cancer. She was born on July 31, 1942 in Columbia, SC to her parents, Mr. William Spradley and Mrs. Eunice Spradley. Mae was the 7th of 12 children. She was married to the late Charles Dunn in Charleston, SC on May 17, 1963. They had two children. She attended elementary school in McBee, SC. She spent the next 49 years as a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and sisters. She will be remembered by her loving children: Charles Dunn II and his wife Connie of Summerville, SC and William R. Dunn and his wife Donah of Cottageville, SC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christin Sirline, William C. Dunn, Christinia A. Dunn, Clarissa M. Dunn and Corrin G. Dunn; one great-grandson, Bradley L. Mason; two brothers, Harvey G. Spradley of Bethune, SC and James L. Spradley of Hartsville, SC; and three sisters, Sara E. Cumbee of Enterprise, AL, Carolyn Rutland and her husband William of Summerville, SC, and Patricia Muniz and her husband Tony of North Charleston, SC. She is predeceased in death by her husband, Charles Dunn; her parents, William H. Spradley and Eunice B. Spradley; three brothers, Billy Spradley, Russell Spradley, and Richard Spradley; and three sisters, Betty Hunt, Lois Gamble, and Sheila Blackwell. The Family will receive friends from six o'clock till eight o'clock PM, Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service will be held two o'clock PM, Thursday, May 2, 2013 in the chapel of CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME. Entombment will follow in CAROLINA MEMORIAL PARK. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mae's honor to Odyssey Hospice, 5965 Core Road Suite 603, North Charleston, SC 29406.
