Lynn Payne Obituary

Lynn Payne RINCON, GA - Lynn Carpenter Payne (born Vera Lynn Carpenter) of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully at home March 1, 2023. She was born May 2, 1953, in Charleston, SC, to the late Douglas E. Carpenter, Sr. and Vera E. Carpenter. A lifelong resident of the Charleston area, she graduated from Garrett High in 1971. She spent her life caring for her family and serving the local community as a realtor. She was also a founding member of her brother's church, Palmetto Land Baptist in Summerville SC. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her nephew, Douglas E. Carpenter III. She is survived by her beloved children, Matthew Aaron Nichols, Deborah Colleen White and her husband, Jack J. White; her stepson, Jeffery A. Dusseault; her grandson, Jack "Joshua" White; her brother, Douglas "Gene" Carpenter, Jr.; her sister, Deborah E. Ruys; her nephew, Daniel E. Carpenter; and her nieces, Donna E. Carpenter and Lynn "Audrey" Ruys. Services will be private; in lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation supporting Alzheimer's Research to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org). Thomas C.
