Lynn Gregory Letson
Charleston - Lynn Gregory Letson died peacefully on January 19, 2026.
Lynn Tomlinson Gregory was born in Birmingham, AL on September 18, 1946. Lynn was preceded in death by her father Robert Lee Gregory, Jr., mother Jane Bland Carter Gregory, and brothers Robert Lee Gregory III and Michael Carter Gregory. Lynn is survived by three children, Caroline Carter Bond, Jackson Goodwin Smith, Jr., and stepson Austin Kellett Letson III, and two grandchildren, Leila Caroline Bond and Jackson Josef Smith.
Lynn filled her passport, wore fifty hats, was a unicorn, a fireball, a confidante, a mom, a wife, a friend, a creative spark, an Alabama Star. She attended the University of Alabama between 1964-1968. She was in the Kappa Delta sorority, where she introduced the famous Zebra Pudding.
At a young age, Lynn understood fashion, art and retail. Those interests blossomed in myriad ways throughout her life - from Bromberg's in Birmingham, AL to The Attic art gallery and the With-It retail store in Anniston, AL to curating art installations in Charleston, SC.
Lynn had a keen ability to make people feel special when she met them. She was an empathetic soul with a friendly, open spirit. This led to more stories than could ever be written in an obituary. RIP LGL.
Please consider honoring Lynn by making a donation to the Big Oak Boys Ranch in Gadsden, AL.
