Lynn Lanpher Obituary
Lynn Lanpher
September 21, 1953 June 10, 2025
The family of Lynn(Oelke)Lanpher is brokenhearted to announce that on June 10th, 2025 at the age of 71, she lost her hard-fought battle with leukemia.
Lynn was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin on September 21st, 1953 the daughter of Donna(Begley)Oelke Haid and William Oelke. Lynn grew up in Fargo, North Dakota until the age of 14, then moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where she graduated from Lincoln High School.
In 1971, she married David Lanpher, with whom she had two beautiful daughters, Darcy and anna.
Lynn moved to Surfside Beach, South Carolina, in 1985 and remained there for the rest of her life.
She worked as a bridal consultant, an esthetician, and in insurance enrollment for many years.
Lynn was an avid exercise and nutrition enthusiast and rarely missed a day of walking on the beach, getting her steps in, and keeping in shape. Never sick a day in her life, she woke up one day last November feeling dizzy and exceptionally tired. She was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. We thought we had more time, but the cancer took her away from us after only 7 months. We always think we have more time…until we don't.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have left. A heart of gold stopped beating, shining eyes, and a beautiful smile are now at rest.
We know you had to leave us, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you.
Your whisper is felt saying, To the living, I am gone, To the sorrowful, I will never return, To the angry, I was cheated, But to the happy, I am at peace, And to the faithful, I have never left. I cannot speak, but I can listen. I cannot be seen, but can be heard. So as you stand at the ocean shore or look at beautiful pink flowers, remember me. Remember me in your heart: your thoughts, your memories of the times we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed. For if you always think of me, I will never be gone from you, I am always near.
Lynn is survived by her sister, Debbie(Oelke)Givens.
First daughter and grandson, Darcy and Brayden Lanpher.
Daughter, Anna Marie Lanpher, and granddaughters, Savanna and Lillyanna Brooks, her niece, Brandy Oelke. Lanpher family members in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Ehlers cousins in Wisconsin, Begley family members in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and dear friends.
