Graeme, I'm so very saddened to learn of your mom's passing. She was such an amazing person, always so upbeat, positive and fun... I will always remember her that way, with a warm smile. I know that she touched many people's lives in wonderful ways. Please know that you are in my thoughts, my friend.

I feel so incredibly lucky that Lynda's life crossed my path while we worked together in the Occupational Therapy department at TIRR (The Institute for Rehabilitation & Research) in Houston. She was such an effective therapist and her patients loved her. As a friend, I loved going to the Houston fine arts museums with her and hearing her interpretations and viewpoints of artworks. I remember her telling me she was going to move back to South Carolina and at first I was so sad to have a good friend move away but also so happy that she would have the love and support of her family as she lived through her bout with cancer. I will miss hearing her infectious laugh and seeing her wide beautiful smile. She lived such an extraordinary life. Thank you, McDonald family, for giving the world such a beautiful soul!

The first time I saw Lynda was in the film AWAKEN THE DRAGON which awakened a group in Beaufort to form a team, get a boat and compete in the Charleston Festival a few months later. Lynda gave our team some of the best coaching we've had.

I often found myself at festivals looking for her red hair - because she so clearly stood out and above the rest of us as an incredible inspiration. Her spirit lives on in all she touched. Peace to her friends and family. Fair tides and following seas, Lynda.
