I am so thankful I was able to visit Lydia at the Ogeechee Hospice. My memories of Lydia go way back when we were kids swimming and playing at the rec. dept. She possesses an enduring personality, and she will be greatly missed. May the wonderful sweet memories, the love of God, the kindess of others, hold and keep all those who grieve so deeply. Miss Reba, I knew your family when I was growing up in the Woodlawn Terrace neighborhood and always thought highly of Lydia. I always loved her name and I wanted to look like her and be like her because she was so sweet and pretty and older than me, but didn't treat me like a little kid. I am so sorry for your loss and can see that Lydia touched many people with her kindness and grace. My prayers are with your family in this time of sadness. God Bless you all.

One of my fondest memories of Lydia is when she took potted violets to all the ladies at the shelter for battered women and their children on Mother's Day for the Realtor's Make America Better Committee. She was always so thoughtful and creative. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

So sorry we lost touch through the years.
Lydia was such a 'go getter', and a wonderful woman. It's too sad to imagine her leaving us this soon. May God bless her family. She was such a free spirit, and a lovely person.

Dia,
Although I did not know your Mother, I was fortunate to meet her just once. Remember at Pearlz, such a lovely person. I know that this is a sad time for you and your family and our thoughts and prayers are with you. You have been a loving and devoted daughter to your Mom during her illness. I know that she must have been so proud of you and would not want you to be sad. Hold on to your memories for they will stay with you always. I know how hard it is to lose your mother but she will always be watching over you as you continue your life. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Our sincere condolsense to you and your family.

lydia stole my heart the second i met her. There was something about the way that she spoke and interacted with me. We became instant friends. My only regret is that i didn't meet her sooner. I only had the benefit and gift of knowing Lydia for just over a year. It was an honor and priveledge to be a part of her care while she battled cancer with such dignity and determination. My heart and sympathies go out to all of her family. Please know I grieve with you all. Susie

Now there is another angel in Heaven, as she was here on Earth to all her friends. I know I speak for all of Lydia's friends and classmates when I say "We all loved Lydia and her sweet smile and sense of humor" and "we will miss you, but are happy you are with God and your loved ones who have gone on before you, and are at sweet peace at last". We love you Lydia and family and our thoughts and prayers go with you all. Debbie Shuman
