TSGT Luther "Claude" C. Turner, Sr. USAF ( ret.) Summerville - TSGT Luther "Claude" C. Turner, Sr. USAF (ret), 79, of Summerville, husband of the late Peggy Turner, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Royal Oaks. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, July 27, 2018 at Dorchester Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485 at 11 o'clock. Entombment will follow. Flowers will be accepted. Claude was born on May 20, 1939 in Summerville, SC, son of the late Luther and Fentrice Turner. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He served as a town councilman in Summerville in the 1990's. He enjoyed gardening. Survivors include: three sons: Luther C. Turner, Jr. (Karen) of Summerville, Michael A. Turner (Darcy) of Summerville, and Rowland L. Turner (Linda) of Summerville; two daughters: Sandy K. Lawson (Tom) of Spokane, Washington and Frankie M. Driggers (Ed) of Summerville; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother: Woodrow Turner (Nina) of Pembroke, GA; several nieces and nephews.
