Luther Lewis Obituary

LEWIS, Luther MT. PLEASANT, SC - Memorial Services for Mr. Luther E. Lewis, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, who died February 23, 2005 will be conducted this Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Masonic Rites will be conducted by the Hopewell Masonic Lodge #127 AFM and Military Honors will be accorded. Mr. Lewis was a native of Darlington, SC having made his home in the Charleston area for the past 65 years. He was a member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge #96 AFM, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a US Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Lewis was retired from the Charleston Naval Yard as a Rigger and Deep Sea Diver. Survivors include a brother, John C. Lewis, Jackson, SC; a sister, Margaret G. Young, Darlington, SC; several nephews and a niece. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the Memorial Service. The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. John C.
