Lula Stroman Obituary

STROMAN, Lula Mae Lula Mae Mixson Stroman., wife of George Edward Stroman, Jr., of Mt. Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Hibben United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at eleven o'clock. Burial will follow in New Wappetaw Presbyterian Cemetery, McClellanville, SC. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, Friday, December 16, 2005, from 4:00 until 6:00 o'clock. Mrs. Stroman was born July 25, 1915, in Cummings, SC, the daughter of the late Charles Hudson Mixson and Jennie Patience (Mixson) Mixson. She was an active member of Hibben United Methodist Church for 50 years and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was a graduate of Roper School of Nursing and did post graduate work at the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. She worked as a registered nurse at Roper Hospital for over 35 years and worked as a private duty nurse. She is survived by her husband, George Edward Stroman, Jr., of Mt. Pleasant, her son, George Edward Stroman, III of McClellanville, SC, her daughter, Dorothy M. Stroman of Gainesville, FL, one sister, Doris R. Anderson, of Beaufort, SC, and four grandchildren, Cate and Frances Jones of Gainesville, FL, and Zack and Gabe Stroman of McClellanville, SC. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Leona M. Barnes and Minnie Lee Terry and a brother, Charles H. Mixson. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hibben United Methodist Church Organ Fund, 690 Coleman Boulevard, Mt.
