Lula Anderson Obituary

Lula M. Anderson Georgetown, SC - Lula M. Anderson, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Vibra Hospital in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Born June 19, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Sealey G. Mitchum and Mattie C. Mitchum. A funeral service will be held at Wayne United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Mrs. Anderson was a devoted member of Wayne United Methodist Church and a member of the Curtis Bell Sunday school class. She enjoyed eating at the Ball & Que and Deborah's Kitchen with her lunch bunch group. Mrs. Anderson was an animal lover who spent her free time feeding her birds and tending her many flowers. She was a devoted friend who always visited ill friends at hospitals and nursing homes. Surviving are two daughters, Lynn Mitchum (Mitch) of Georgetown and Gay Horry (Joel) of Ridgeland, SC; one son Edward Michael (Doris) of Georgetown; four grandchildren, Jennie McClellan (Palmer) of McClellanville, Matthew Horry of Ladson, Duffin Mitchum of Georgetown, and Garland Horry (Heather) of Meggett, SC; three great grandchildren, Palmer McClellan, Henry McClellan, and Liam Horry; and one brother, S.G. Mitchum Jr. of Seattle, WA. In addition to her parents and husband, Edward Anderson, she was predeceased by her son, Chet Anderson; two sisters, Winnifred Mitchum and Henrietta Smith; and two brothers, Tommy Mitchum and Willard Mitchum. Gay, you might not remember me, but I live in Bluffton, and you and I met at a May Festival here. Lula Mae was a very good friend of mine through high school and afterwards. She was a very loving and caring person. She touched the lives of many. I know you will miss her as many of use will. So sorry.
