Lucy Weatherford Obituary

WEATHERFORD, Lucy LEXINGTON - Services for Lucy Corley Weatherford, 88, will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, from St. Stephen's Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Building Fund, 119 North Church Street, Lexington, S.C. 29072. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at BARR-PRICE FUNERAL HOME LEXINGTON CHAPEL. Mrs. Weatherford left this world to be with her Lord on December 18, 2004. Born in Gilbert, a daughter of the late Simon Preston and Ella Sox Corley and was married to the late Walter A. Weatherford for 62 years. She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church and was a life member of WELCA. She was a nurse, working for many years with "special people" having retired from the Department of Mental Retardation at Ladson, S.C. Surviving are a sister, Nola C. Lucius; many nieces and nephews; two families by choice - the Carl Feary Family and the Dan Phillips Family, both of Lexington. She was predeceased by a sister, Annie Lou Taylor and a brother, P.G.
