Lucille Kirton Obituary

KIRTON, Lucille HOLLY HILL Mrs. Lucille Jones Kirton, 87, of Holly Hill, wife of James E. Kirton, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at her home. Funeral services will be 5 o'clock Sunday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. David Brien and Rev. Earl Behr officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Kirton was born in Elloree the daughter of the late Charlie Jones and Carrie Shuler Jones. A graduate of Elloree High School, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and an active member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU and a former Sunday School teacher. She was preceded in death by sons Ricky Parler, and William, John, and James Kirton, and a brother, Charlie Jones. Surviving are her husband of the home; daughters, Linda K. (Thomas) Breland of Holly Hill, and Tricia K. (Mike) Collins of Garden City; a son, Gerald E. (Sherrie) Kirton of Greenville; brother, Herbert (Paris) Jones of Elloree; grandchildren, Tommy (Cindy) Breland and Dr. Jamie (Deborah) Breland, both of Holly Hill, Joseph Kirton of Greenville; and Annette (Brandon) Vaughn of Union; and great-grandchildren, Madison, Marion, and Perrin Breland; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends may call at AVINGER FUNERAL HOME from 3 to 5 o'clock this Saturday afternoon. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 235, Holly Hill, SC 29059.
