To the Gilliard, Singleton, and Brown families and other relatives and close friends of Mrs. Lucille Singleton Gillard, I offer condolences on the death of my Sister in Christ and friend Lucille.
A true servant of God, Lucille was a Christian woman who was warm, compassionate, and had a loving soul. Her love for God, family, and humanity was inspiring. Her devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, and siblings was a special calling from God as shown in the way she took care of them.
I have such wonderful memories of my Sister in Christ Lucille working in the church, including the times we spent together as co-division leaders, the yearly home visitation to members securing their pledges for the Stewardship Committee. I also fondly remember working with her on the Fifty State/Division Leader Rally. Lucille was a steady and reliable partner during the times we coordinated and collected funds for the many spring and fall church teas.
I will miss Lucille and I will continue to pray for your family. May God's peace, love, grace, and mercy abound as you grieve during this most difficult time.
