To the Doyle Family:

With Ms. Lucile's passing, I've experienced feelings I don't have to imagine because I've had them. I can truly call the block on Nassau Street between Reid and Wolfe Streets (and beyond) the "Village" which was needed to raise a child. Long before Hillary Clinton's publication, we knew the "Village" existed. The families were so close, you would think twice about being in, part of, or causing trouble. Your parents may have been out of sight, but other parents were around to keep an eye on you. I always remember in Ms. Lucile's voice "I'm going to tell Nancy when she gets home". I can't speak for others, but I can truly say, having a Mom at home, next door, and in church kept me straight. I thank God for putting on this earth a role model, mentor, and another wonderful Mother.

May the love of God, memories, family, and friends give you strength in the days ahead.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Just imagine, mama and daddy are shouting, praising, preaching, and singing all over GOD's heaven right about now, what a beautiful and glorious time they are having right about now, a complete circle, please be happy for them. I am holding this family in prayer always and loving you all always, what a beautiful and blessed family.

To: The Doyle Family losing a love one is tough. But when you lose the Queen that gave birth to you it's devastating. I know this feeling of sadness that yall are going through right now. Because I was there 11months ago when I lost my mother. Know that God's still in control and He knows your pain. I don't have to say to this family to hang on to Gods unchanging hand because the Queen that you guys are about to lay to rest has already instilled that into this family. Ms. Lucile was such a lovely woman. I now think about all the times we spent together and all the amazing meals she cooked (that bread pudding was to die for). She was such a pleasure to have around. I have learned so much from her concerning the church and the bible and will remember her always. She always greeted me with a kiss smack dab on the lips. She was a wonderful song bird. I love all of you and am truly sorry that she is gone.

My Heart is heavy with all of you, Mrs Lucile was like a mother to me, she was a lady in every sense of the word, I will miss her singing as she could set a church on fire with her songs. We are just more than neighbors, on Nassau Street we are extended Family members, our hearts are hurting as well. I think about how fortunate we were to have an outstanding Neighbor,Mother figure like Ms. Doyle, whom we will miss dearly, but under no circumstance forget, we are greatful to God for knowing and loving her.
