Lourdes Bohigas Obituary
A native of Havana, Cuba, she was the wife of the late Jose M. Bohigas and the daughter of Florentino Bello and Maria Isabel Bello, both deceased. She was a retired teacher and a member of Burlington Assembly of God.
Survivors include her children, Bernie M. (Lynne) Bohigas of Madison, NC and Maria B. (Kip) Foster of Fredericksburg, VA; her grandchildren, Brandon M. (Jennifer) Bohigas of Burlington and Sarah Elizabeth and Lydia Joyce Foster, both of Fredericksburg, VA; one brother, Orlando Bello; two sisters, Idalia Bello and Leyda (Hugo) Benitez; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Howard Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer's Association are appreciated at Alzheimer's Association-Chapter Headquarters, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215 or online at www.alz.org.
Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mrs. Bohigas. She was my Spanish teacher at Graham High School in 1972. I will never forget her kindness and patience in the classroom. She was an exceptional lady and teacher.

Lourdes was like a mother to my brother and I after our Mom died. She was a wonderful lady and we will miss her dearly. We are praying for the family.
