Louiza Nicholson Obituary

Louiza Lucille Nicholson MT. PLEASANT - Louiza Lucille Nicholson, 102, widow of Burton K. Nicholson, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Sweetgrass Memory Care Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Mrs. Nicholson was born September 16, 1906 in Rinehart, MO. The community was named for her grandfather, Joheil Rinehart, who founded the little town. She was a homemaker and a member of the Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church. She worked with her husband at Pratt Whitney during World War II in order to support their nephews who served in the military. Her youngest daughter, Linda Finney, died in 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Meinen, of Isle of Palms, SC; her grandson Kurt Meinen and his family - Lisa, Sophie and Jack of Chappaqua, NY; her granddaughter, Chris Ann Lunghino and her family - Derek, Brent, Tim and Peter of Huntington Beach, CA; and Rob Finney of Kansas City, MO. She had many dear nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in the future. Time has yet to be determined.
