Louise Riggs GOOSE CREEK - Louise Carmela Riggs, 91, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Born on January 13, 1932, in South Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Christino Arduino and Mary Calabro Arduino. In addition to being a homemaker, Louise was a talented crocheter and donated many of her works to Navy Relief. She was always Team Mom on her son's sports teams and President of the Goose Creek Recreational Booster Club for two years. She volunteered at the Red Cross and was a member of the Italian American Club. She loved to read novels, play cards, and was an incredible cook and baker; her specialties included biscotti and pizzelles during the holidays. She attended Goose Creek United Methodist Church and lived in Goose Creek for over 50 years. Louise is survived by husband Charles Riggs; sons, Chuck (Dianne) Riggs and Michael (Lisa) Riggs; and daughter, Rosemary (Ron) Cote. Grandchildren include Jessica (Ryan) Niemic, Justin (Zoey) Riggs, Dana Stockton, Donna Reed and Angela McMullan, as well as several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by sons, Ralph and Carl Stockton. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation - Goose Creek, 869 St. James Avenue, in Goose Creek, South Carolina.
