Louise Benson Oliphant GREENWOOD, SC - Mrs. Louise Benson Oliphant, 86, widow of Bennie Oliphant, of 1548 Parkway Apartments, Apt. 2-F, died Thursday, July 8, 2010, at the Hospice Care of the Piedmont. Born in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie Clark and the late Florence Irene Benson Clark. She was a member of Holmes Street Baptist Church in Charleston, SC. She retired as the owner of the Stitching Post in Charleston, SC and enjoyed crocheting and sewing. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Sherilyn Oliphant of Charleston, SC; two granddaughters, Courtney Oliphant of Hodges, SC and Charlayne Oliphant of Charleston, SC and other relatives and friends. Services are 2:00 pm Monday, July 12, 2010, at the Chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, Inc., conducted by Rev. W.S. Harrison. Burial will immediately follow in the Evening Star Cemetery.
