Louise Gibbs CHARLESTON - Mrs. Louise Gibbs "Weeze", 78, of Charleston, SC, wife of the late James Daniel Gibbs, transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home on the morning of April 17, 2023. Mrs. Gibbs leaves to cherish her loving memory: children, Jovetta L. Gibbs, Jonathan M. Gibbs (Shane Gibbs), Eli V. Gibbs (Tangela Gibbs), and Jamie E. Gibbs (Dawn Williams); daughters-in-law, Deatrice Ferete and Shonda Andrews; siblings, Margaret Jones, Gloria Lynch, Patricia Yates, Linda V. Evans, Brenda Brown, Joyce McClam (James), and Carletta Jones; 13 grandchildren: Marcus Gibbs, Jonathan Gibbs, Jr., Amber Williams, Alexandria Gibbs, Demarcus Baker, Malique Byrd, Amber Gibbs, Briana Youngblood, Juwan Gibbs, Donte; Gibbs, Kiya Gibbs, Nikera Gibbs, Eli Gibbs, Jr.; 3 great-grandchildren: Justice Washington, Elijah Gibbs, and Ariyah Gibbs and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Gibbs is also preceded in death by one son, Mark L. Gibbs. Public viewing will be held at The Palmetto Mortuary, Inc. Monday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in The Palmetto Mortuary Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11:00 am.
