Lillian Louise Snipes Case ROCK HILL - On January 18, 2011, Lillian Louise Case, 93, died peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was born April 5, 1917, in Lancaster, SC to the late T. H. Snipes and Martha Ella Rowell Snipes. She was blessed with over 59 years of marriage to the late Lloyd Harris Case, Sr. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Snipes Turner and Mary Snipes McCabe, and seven brothers, Durwood Snipes, Olin Snipes, Woodrow Snipes, Bill Snipes, Connie Snipes, John Snipes, and Kenneth Snipes. Services for Mrs. Case will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Saint John's United Methodist Church, 321 S. Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC, with the Reverend Deborah Quilling Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 PM, Friday, January 21, 2011, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732. A resident of Rock Hill, Mrs. Case graduated from Rock Hill High School. She was a dedicated member of St. John's United Methodist Church for 81 years, serving the UMW, Circle #2 and also as a children's Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Browning-Sykes Class. She worked as a sales associate at Friedheim's Dept. Store and then at Crafts Shoes. Lovingly known as "Mama Lou" by not only her family, but also by many children whom she tirelessly nourished with her wisdom, listening, encouragement, and love. Mrs. Case, a devoted and loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother is survived by her sons, Donald M. Yonce, Sr. (Sally) of Myrtle Beach, and Lloyd H. Case, Jr. (Kimberly) of Rock Hill; her daughters, Linda S. Brawley (Scott) of Isle of Palms, Martha Jeanne Johnson (Dan) of Rock Hill, Mary Louise Parker (Hunter) of Rock Hill. Eleven grandchildren, Hamp Yonce (Crystal), Whitney Hills (Bill), Kathleen Yonce, Abner Yonce, Catherine Templeton (Morgan), Will Brawley (Mandy), Jason Parker (Nicole), Ashleigh Wyatt (Jason), Casey Parker (Christina), Jacki Nichols (Domenic) and Chandler Case; nine great-grandchildren, Ely Yonce, Ivy Yonce, McCabe Templeton, CackyTempleton, Hampton Templeton, Jake Parker, Talan Parker, Saige Nichols and Ellie Wyatt. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Edward Snipes, Sr. of Rock Hill.
