Louisa Walsh Obituary

I am so sorry to learn of Lousia's passing so long after. I don't know if this is monitored, but Lousia was a kind, generous, smart soul who displayed rare openness and honesty. I am saddened that I will not meet her again. Love to all who loved her. Tim Dalrymple

I only just now learned of Louisa's passing, and I am really sad to know that such a wonderful light went out eight years ago. We were friends when she lived in Wayne and use to go hiking and dancing together all the time, and attended the UU church there. She really was special. Saying a prayer for her and her family

My heart is so sad at your loss of Louisa. We danced many dances together and that is when Louisa seemed really happy. Her smile would light up the room. I know that where ever she is she is dancing. Every time I set foot on the dance floor now I will dedicate my first dance to her memory.

I am profoundly saddened to learn of Louisa's passing away. My sincerest condolences to all of you.

Louisa's friendship brought tremendous joy to my life. I met her dancing in 2005 and her energy, enthusiasm and positive spirit instantly told me she was a truly special person. I loved dancing with her and my favorite memory is that she loved dance turns and would shout out a joyous "Oh, yeah" whenever I would lead her in a turn or would do one myself.

I also can not forget how when I was myself down early last year, Louisa kept reaching out to me to provide tremendous emotional support.

I thank God and you for the gift of Louisa to my life. May her Soul rest in peace and may God give you all the strength at this time of grief.

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Louisa. While we haven't seen her in many years, we knew her well when she was involved with MLUC groups in the 90's. I always appreciated her great smile, her enthusiasm, and new friends she would bring over to the church and functions. I believe that's where we met Beth as well. I'm not sure what happened but it sounds like her passing was sudden. So sad that although she gave so much of herself during her short time here with us, she was a woman who had so much more to give. We had lost track of Louisa and again are so saddened to hear she is gone from our midst. May peace come to you as you all, family and friends, move through this difficult time.

My condolences for Louisa's passing. She was for a time more than a colleague of mine, but a trusted friend, and her loss leaves a hole in those of us left behind.

It is with a very heavy heart that we send our love and prayers to the entire Walsh Family. We will always be thankful for the love and kindness that Louisa shared with our family. Through my sister Beth, we were fortunate enough to know Louisa and witness the impact that she could have on those around her. One of my fondest memories is when T.J., our special needs brother, appointed Louisa his “music manager”. She took her job seriously and made T.J. feel very important!!! At several family holiday dinners, they sang and danced together.

We will miss her – she is a true force of nature.

Walsh Family:
I am so glad that Louisa, Beth, and I could be together this past April in North Carolina. Louisa took us everywhere... from shopping in Asheville, to hiking in the woods, to several quaint restaurants in Tryon. We laughed the entire weekend. One night the three of us crashed in our Bed and Breakfast Inn room and watched an old Tracey Ullman video. We had a blast! Louisa's laugh was contagious. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Walsh family,

I am so saddened by Louisa's death. She was one of the founding members of a 20/30's group that formed in 1997. We have been in touch ever since, celebrating birthdays and life milestones. Louisa contributed greatly to the energy of that group. Now that a founding member has gone, we feel a large hole. Her death is a shock. We remember Louisa with so much love, and wish you the best as you process this loss.

Jim and I are so sorry to hear about Louisa's passing. I got to know Louisa through my good friend 'Beth' over 10 years ago. I recall her love of life and the outdoors. I enjoyed hiking and outdoor concerts with her and Beth, and was thrilled when they came to our wedding (photo attached) in 2003 to help us celebrate our new beginning and dance the night away! May she be in peace and may her family and close friends find comfort in happy memories and knowing that she was loved so much!

I offer you my deepest condolences on Louisa's death. I was a friend of Louisa's when she lived in Pennsylvania. We had gotten to know each other through a church group and discovered that we had both grown up in the Charleston area and had both graduated from Porter Gaud. I think we always enjoyed comparing notes about Charleston. I always had so much fun with Louisa. She was so warm, generous, giving and had a terrific sense of humor. I miss her very much and can say that she is very much missed among our group of friends in Pennsylvania. I wish you much peace and comfort in the time ahead.

Dear Walsh Family,
I had only recently begun to know and enjoy Louisa's company here in Tryon. She joined a group of us at the beach in May, and I went bicyling with her one Sunday. (she left me in the dust.) I went walking with her and Winston, her greyhound, a time or two also. We were making plans for hiking, and she seemed to be interested in lining up rounds of tennis and golf with other people in the area. She had been talking of changing her research medical career back to clinical medicine and working with those most in need. I'm sure she would have been great at it.
There are many of us here in Tryon who are deeply affected by her untimely death. The news has rippled through us like a shock wave.I will miss her sweet presence at our gatherings and activities. My heart goes out to her family. love, Ann

Johnny Evans sent the news of Louisa death. We always remember her bright young face at camp and with CDC. And of course the unforgetable evening in San Francisco when she asked the waiter, "What kind of Italian Restaurant is this that doesn't serve pizza?" So sorry to hear of Louisa's passing. She departed the same day my mother did. She was a fabulous housemate and both Alan and I remember her warmth and enthusiasm, and her tolerance for two lovebirds. Hard to believe it was over 25 years ago we were in that pepto bismo pink house on Montagu St. Our hearts go out to her family as do our thoughts and prayers.
