I don't always visit the Eternal Patrol page of the Stimson Draft. Apparently I haven't in a couple of years. So sorry to learn of Louis passing. Lou and I reported aboard the Stimson at the same time. He looked a little like a lost puppy so I invited him to stay on our sofa for a few nights, until he found a place of his own. My wife Stephanie and I made a new friend that day. It was a friendship that saw him pull off one of the biggest surprise birthday parties of my life, and later when he visited us here in New Hampshire. My own personal best memory of Lou is the hours we sat in the torpedo room talking about life and joking about things that had happened during off crew. He was a friend and will always remain such in our hearts. Rest your oar sailor, enjoy the afterlife I'm certain you deserve.

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" leaves on Eternal Patrol. We are grateful for Louis´s distinguished service to our country and to in the U.S. Submarine Service. He served with honor aboard the USS Henry L Stimson SSBN-655, USS Nathan Hale SSBN-623 and the USS James Monroe SSBN-622. To our "Brother-of-the-Phin" we say, "Sailor, rest your oar.
