Louis Curvino Obituary

Louis Curvino GOOSE CREEK - Louis Harry Curvino was born July 15, 1923 in Fort Lee, NJ. He was married to Wilma Braun, also of Fort Lee, NJ, on May 3, 1953. Before retiring and settling in Goose Creek, SC in 1993, he was employed as a Sales & Architectural Representative for a Building Construction Company for 34 years. After graduating from High School in 1941, he served 3 years in the U.S. Army during World War II and served as a Sergeant in the European Theatre of Operations. He served honorably and was discharged in 1946. A proud achievement was being associated with Little League Baseball in Fort Lee, NJ. He served for over 30 years in the program, making baseball available to children from 8 to 15 years of age. He, along with another loyal member, made available a playing field and built a Club House for the program. He's been a member of the Charleston-Low Country Region Antique Automobile Club of America for nearly 20 years. Surviving is his wife, Wilma, of almost 60 years, a son, John, a daughter-in-law, Eva and one grandson, Donato, of Paris, TX. Surviving also is an older brother Joseph, a sister Gloria Hall, both of NJ, and a brother Salvatore & his wife of Florida. A younger brother Mario is deceased. In addition, a long list of nephews and nieces and their children. Family and friends are invited to MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 869 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445 (843-553-1511) from 2:00-3:00 pm on Saturday, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Salvation Army.
