Louie Lunny Obituary

Louie Douglas Lunny N. CHARLESTON - Louie Douglas Lunny, age 87, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Greer, SC on October 6, 1922 to the late Harry Lunny and Hattie Crocker Lunny. He was retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. During his retired life he spent most of his time with Charleston Baptist Association doing relief work. He was a member of Dor-Way Baptist Church. Louie Lunny is survived by his wife: Leola Blocker Lunny of North Charleston, SC; daughters: Diane Foote (Randy) of Asheville, NC, Barbara Veno of North Charleston, SC, and Debi Lunny of Givhans, SC; grandchildren: Travis Brown of Charleston, SC, Wendi (Brad) Goodson of Asheville, NC, Brandon (Robyn) Foote of Asheville, NC, Ashley (Chris) Gandy of Ft. Mill, SC, Lindsey Thornton (Tony) of Givhans, SC; great-grandchildren: Caroline, Copeland, Carlyle, Owen, Madison, and Raegan. Funeral will be Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Mrs. Lunny and family,

I am so sorry so here about your loss. Padgett Street will not seem the same without him. You and Mr. Lunny were always there for me growing up and appreciate and thoughtful things you said and did for me. I know that you will see him soon but it is ok to grieve. I believe it shows how much he meant to you.
