Lorraine Cox Obituary

Lorraine Cox N. CHARLESTON - Lorraine Cox (nee Carne), 76, widow of John D. Cox, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Charleston, SC. The family will be hosting a breakfast repast on Saturday morning, November 22, 2014 at 9:30 AM, followed by a Memorial Service and release of her cremains to the sea at the Bayfront Park Pier in Union Beach, NJ. Lorraine was born September 1, 1938 in Bayonne, NJ, to the late Francis Joseph Carne and Elizabeth Stevenson Henderson Carne of Glasgow, Scotland and Bayonne, NJ. She was a homemaker. Lorraine is survived by her two sons, John D. Cox, III and Brian Thomas Cox; her brother, Thomas Carne; five grandchildren, Kristen Cox, Brandon Cox, Angela Cox, Nicole Cox, and Nickolas Cox; great-grandson, Chase Stark; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, John D. Cox, Jr., she was predeceased by two sons, Robert Francis Cox and Michael James Cox. So sorry to hear about Lorraine's passing. I know she was happy to be home with all of you. We love and miss her and Mikey tremendously. We will drink a few here in Nebraska to celebrate her life.
