To the family of Laurie,
I knew Laurie since 1985 when we worked at Professional Answering service. We became really good friends. Laurie was such a loving and caring person. At that time she only had Jennie. she was an awesome mother to her Jen Jen. It is such a sad day for me to have learned about Lauries death. I can honestly say she was a great person to have known

Sweet, sweet Lorie......it seems so unfair that you were taken just when we were beginning to get to know each other better. I know you"re pain and suffering is gone and for that, I am grateful! I will always love you and cherish all that you shared with me. Until we meet again, precious one......

My dear daughter in law, Lorie,
I am sitting here trying to figure out what to say, but right now my heart is full of sadness and my eyes are full of tears. For some one very special is gone from our lives. I know that you are fine now for I can picture you looking like you did when Timmy first introduced you to me, your hair so full and your eyes so bright. Your smile and your laugh when something really tickled your funny bone. I remember you telling me that you went to the beach to pray, so now there will be 2 sets of footprints in the sand. I love you Lorie like my own daughter and I will always remember the times that we had and the times when you were with all of our family crazy as some of those times where. You were a gift from God and now he has taken you back home. Watch over us and tell all my family there waiting for me that we will all see each other again.

My heart is so broken right now and all I can do is think of you! Candied yams, mac n cheese n lima beans, Jif peanut butter, Gardenia's, roller skating, goin to the Fair, race tracks, dancing to Whitney n Janet, hangin out w Bugsy n Nicci, Jenni staying w me n Joey staying w you, working for Mike w Babs, Lady Di and Yolanda, Gloria, Henderson and Flo just to mention a few, living together, you n Bugsy taking care of me when Joe had the accident, goin to the beach, you're callin me Zip Buzz and calling my sister McMonica, 1991 in the hospital w new born Kaylee! I will always remember Whichard's beach and the fun we had running around the pavilion. Lorie Ann, Julie and Jimmy were big factors in my childhood and I cherish my memories that include them. My love to Jimmy and the family!

Everyone on here has left amazing comments. Makes it a little easier to push through. I'm still a bit speechless right now, but Im so happy my moms storm is over. My mother had an awesome team of people to meet her on the other side. I think of that daily. I am strong solely because my mother instilled that in me. I will smile, laugh, and remain telling my children stories of their awesome grandmother. <3 I thank GOD for all the borrowed time He gave us with my mother.

Sheri I know we haven't spoken in many years but I have many fond memories of Lorie and all the weekends spent at your house. I will be praying for your family.

We had such fantastic times together with our children,Nicci and Jen. Shoney's breakfast buffet on Saturdays, watching scary movies,bbq's under your huge gardenia bush and trying to play badminton. Lorie was a beautiful person inside and out. May you find peace and love in the memories you cherish of her. Heaven gained an angel and all of you a gaurdian angel.

Lori, You practically raised me as a kid. I think that we all turned out beyond great. Jennifer is a wonderful mom and a very strong woman. Kaylee is so artistic, beautiful, and funny. I hope that there is nothing that you would change. To me- everything turned out just the way you wanted.
