Mr. Collins was our landlord here in Georgetown, and was always a friendly and caring gentleman. You knew he was a Christian before you even saw the wooden cross around his neck because he'd let you know his love of Christ as soon as you met him. He talked about how much his missed his wife and I am sure that he is happy to be with her now. He was a lovely man and we will think of him often here on Front Street in little Georgetown. We left the housing crisis in southern California and feel very blessed that Mr. Collins was open to letting us rent this beautiful little haven by the water after 3,000 miles of chaos. He is with the Lord but he will be missed. My condolences to his family. -Lindsay & Josh

I am very sad about Loren's passing. Loren was my coach and mentor at Midway High School in the 60's. He taught me so much about life. Today I am the person I am because of coach Collins. He has always been a very special person to me. His teachings taught me to never be a quitter and to always give 100 percent. His and Marilyn's amazing love for our Lord Jesus Christ was evident in all that they did. With Vicki and I having a house at North Myrtle Beach, we were blessed to see and talk to coach Collins and Marilyn often. They were so special to us. Our prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I have lost a very great and close friend. God has got him an angel that was loved by everyone that knew him. There will never be another Loren Collins. God bless!

So sorry to hear of Uncle Loren's passing. He spoke a beautiful message of God's love at my Dad's (Lane) funeral. Prayers for comfort and God's peace for you all.
