Lonnie Ewan Obituary

Lonnie Lee Ewan LADSON, SC - On Wednesday, August 3, 2011, Lonnie Lee Ewan, born March 29, 1971, was in a fatal motorcycle accident ending his life. Many of his friends and family have also known him by his more familiar nickname "Jackyl." Lonnie leaves behind his wife, Jeannine Ewan, and son, Logan Thomas Ewan, whom is four years old, each living in Ladson, SC. Leaving also his first and oldest son, Lonnie Lee Ewan Jr., whom lives in Steubenville, Ohio. His only other living relative is his brother, Neil Ewan, whom lives in Warnock, Ohio. Being a true biker was not Lonnie's only priority. At home, Lonnie was a loving husband to his wife Jeannine, "Shadow" as some may know her by, and father to his four-year-old son Logan. With aspirations to build bikes with his son and go on great trips with his wife, Lonnie was a true American devoted to his family. Lonnie was fun loving and was always able to have a good time with friends and family. He worked as a head contractor for construction for most of his life and also became a certified motorcycle technician at American Biker for almost 3 years. He was strong and devoted to every job that he did. Lonnie owned two Shovelheads, one fully built and one in the process and an evo Sportster that he road to work with everyday. With tattoos, leather and stickers displayed everywhere all throughout his life, he was a man proud of his work. We will certainly remember him for it. A memorial service for Lonnie will be held this Sunday, August 7, 2011, at 1:00pm, at American Biker. Donations for his family will be taken and food will be provided. Lonnie touched many people in a postive way. In these times its hard to find a true friend, one as honest and caring as He was. He will be missed deeply. My prayers and thoughts are with His family. ......

I met Lonnie when I purchased a bike back in February. He was very helpful as well as genuinely friendly, and I looked forward to getting to know him better. I have been out of town and only learned of his accident this afternoon; I am very, very sorry for your loss; I wish you strength in the weeks and months to come.
