Lois Singletary Obituary



SINGLETARY, Lois Lois Virginia Singletary, age 83,widow of Kirby Halmon Singletary, Jr. of North Charleston, passed away on Saturday morning, July 14, 2007 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Singletary on Monday, July 16, 2007at 1:00 pm at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston. Burial will immediately follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Mrs. Lois Singletary was born June 25, 1924 to Christian and Maggie Lynes in Charleston, SC. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Singletary was of the Baptist faith and a long time member of the Cooper River Baptist Church in North Charleston. Mrs. Singletary was preceded in death by her son, Richard Keith Singletary. Survivors include two sons, Kirby Halmon Singletary III and his wife Ann of Goose Creek, Robert Bruce Singletary, and his wife Jackie of Jacksonville, Fl, and daughter-in-law, Nancy Singletary of Charleston. Six grandchildren, Phil Singletary and his wife Melinda, Ricky Singletary and his wife Amy, Angela Singletary Blackburn and her husband Billy, Janet Singletary, Robbie Singletary, and Tamara Singletary Brown and her husband Justin. Five great-grandchildren, Shawn and Carlee Singletary, Jake and, Skylar Blackburn, Avery Lynn Brown, and several nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home.
