Lois Jones Obituary

Lois Jones Goose Creek - Lois Malinda Jones of Goose Creek, South Carolina, widow of Robert Lewis Jones passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Her Funeral Service will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, by Reverend David Jackson on Sunday March 24, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Lois was born September 23, 1922 in Aragon, Georgia, the youngest daughter of James Randolph Jones and Ida Lavida Willis Jones. She attended public schools in Whitfield County, Georgia. Mrs. Jones married Robert Lewis Jones on February 14, 1942 and moved to Charleston where they raised their two sons. At one time Mrs. Jones was the distributor for Artex Paints in the Charleston area. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Midway Baptist Church in Goose Creek. She is survived by two sons, William C. Jones and John Robert Jones (Anne) of Goose Creek, SC; four grandchildren: Stacey Jones King (Jason), Lauren Jones Strickland (Ray), Robert B. Jones, Ted L. Jones (Nicole); five great-grandchildren: Bailey Ferreira (Victor), Hannah Strickland and Jayson Strickland, Dylan and Connor King; goddaughter, Ann Jackson Phillips (David); several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones was predeceased by her husband, parents, several brothers and sisters, godson, Raymond H. Phillips, and daughter-in-law, Gail.
