So sorry to hear of this. I was Lloyd's classmate for four years in high school and four years in college. I sat next to Lloyd and Herbie Evans in Miss Davis' Sr. English class and they kept me entertained constantly with their back-and-forth banter. I'm sure nobody was surprised that Lloyd excelled academically and militarily at The Citadel. He was one of the best. This world would be a better place if it had more people like him.

Kaye and Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Lloyd's passing. We were roommates during training cadre our junior year at The Citadel. It was obvious even that long ago, he was destined to make a difference in many people's lives through positive leadership and inspiration. He will always be remembered.

There was not a better classmate than Lloyd. A gentleman of the highest order. Not only were we classmates, but fellow members of TANGO.

Loyd was one of the most loyal, trustworthy people I have ever known. He spoke through his actions. His love for Kay, his kids and grands were so clear to see. He was a natural athlete and excelled at whatever he did. As a coach, a teacher, a builder but most of all as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. I would also add a great shagger!! When I think about Loyd, I can still see him singing, "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" his special way. He left us way too soon but he also leaves a Legacy of a Quiet but honorable Duke. I am thankful I had the honor of being one of his friends.

So very sorry for you loss! Sympathy to Kaye and her sons. Lloyd was a special person in high school and as a father and husband. Lloyd was always smiling and had kind words for others. He was a spectacular athlete. Prayers fir your family.
