Linda Swain Obituary

SWAIN, Linda SUMTER - Linda Motoyo Swain, 79, widow of Robert R. Swain died Friday, January, 18, 2008 at the home of her daughter. Born in Sendai, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Jinzaburo Hasegawa and the late Moyo Chiba Hasegawa. Mrs. Swain was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are three sons, Michael D. Swain and wife Pamela K. Swain of Tyrone, GA., Alan D. Swain and wife Doris M. Swain of Clifton, VA; Robert R. Swain, Jr. and wife Diane F. Swain of Warner Robins, GA.; a daughter, Dr. Linda S. Crabbe and husband Dr. Mark M. Crabbe of Sumter; 10 grandchildren, Brian M. Swain and wife Lauren M. Swain, Jennifer R. Boston and husband Benjamin S. Boston, Jason A. Swain, Erin M. Swain, Kelly M. Swain, Alana M. Swain, Christina C. Kennelly and husband Brian F. Kennelly, Lauren J. Crabbe, Carolina L. Crabbe, Lisa J. Crabbe and Margaret A. Swain; 2 great-grandchildren, Audrey E. Boston and Nathan S. Boston. Funeral Mass will be held 2 PM, Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church, 611 W. Oakland Ave., with Father Charles Donovan C.S.s.R. officiating. Burial will be held privately at a later date. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brian M. Swain, Jason A. Swain, grand-sons-in law, Benjamin S. Boston and Brian F. Kennelly, Dr. Billy Clowney, Dr. Henry P. Moses, James L. Langua. The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 AM Monday at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Dr., Columbia, SC 29210 or to Tuomey Hospice, 115 N. Main St., Suite 410, Sumter, SC 29150 or to a charity of one's choice. Dear Linda, Mark and Swain Family
We are so saddened by the death of your beautiful mother.We are thankful that we were able to see her at Tina's wedding. Our heartfelt condolences go out to all of you and we pray that you will find comfort in knowing that your mother is in the most beautiful place with her loving husband.
