It is with a sense of personal loss that I have realized that Linda has passed away, but, on the other hand, a sense of joy for her in her entry into the presence of her savior, Jesus Christ. I was blessed to come to know her and her family in providing legal services, and she truly impacted my life with her light of life and trust in God's providence. She witnessed her belief in her walk and her words, all in a most inspiring manner. She actually comforted others, and I hope to live my days in the manner she modeled. My wife and I send our consolation to Elijah and her children as she will truly be missed. It is, however, a blessing to be assured that such a dear person was secure in her salvation through her trust in the propitiation of sins that has been paid by Christ. I am confident, even in the short time that I knew Linda, that God has welcomed her into His eternal Kingdom with a resounding acclimation of 'well done, good and faithful servant."

To the Rivers and Green family -
You have all be in my thoughts duing these past weeks. We know that the memories that make you cry the most right now are the memories that will make you smile in the future. Linda was an amazing woman and all that knew her will continue to learn from the lessons that she demonstrated through her generous spirit. She always had a kind word and encouragement for others even in the face of her serious illness. She was a real fighter! Her faith and comfort from God never waned. It was a privilege to know her and she will always remain as an inspiration to me. May the peace that passes understanding be with all of you during this time.
Blessings,

GOD has called her home, he has more in store for her, HE is not through yet. An Angels duty is never done. Do not weep nor cry, for she shall be with you always. Smiling upon you as if there were no tomorrow. Heaven has no sorrow that earth cannot heal. To the family of my classmate Elijah, celebrate this homegoing for it is a joyous one. You and yours have wept long and hard, be strong my brother, weeping may endure for a night, but, JOY comes in the morn.

I heard her story and was touched by her acts of faith. I wanted to meet her, to share with her but never got the chance. God knows what's best and we must accept His Will. Green and Rivers know you had a "special" gift from God in the midst of you and may that bring you comfort.

May the Lord keep you,

The VERY last text I sent to my friend was -I'm praying with you and for you. Linda- I LOVE YOU! Deaconess Linda Rivers was the epitome of strength, courage,a prayer warrior and a soldier for God. There is NO DOUBT in my mind where she is! She took care of everybody and placed herself last.I admired how she kept coming to church eventhough she may have been weak. She wanted to be in the house of the Lord! If she had her strength,to hear that woman sing and roll that tambourine like it was nobody's business was AWESOME!"I LOOOVED me some Mrs. Linda"!She will be missed by so many people. When we ended our texts, she would always say, kiss her "Tada" for her.Linda's legacy will forever live on in her children and grandchildren. I KNOW that Jesus is walking with her!
