Charles Sigrist Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Oscar Sigrist, who left this world peacefully on January 14, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on February 1, 1943, in Jersey City, NJ, Charles was a remarkable man who touched the lives of everyone he met.

Charles will be fondly remembered as a devoted husband to his wife, Irene Sigrist, with whom he shared an incredible 58 years of love and companionship. Their bond was a beautiful example of partnership and commitment, a testament to the love they nurtured through the years.

He served in the Navy and carried the values of duty and service throughout his life. He was not just an accountant by profession; he was a true handyman, always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors. With a deep passion for history and philosophy, Charles was an avid reader whose inquisitive mind sparked many delightful conversations. He could often be found diving into a fascinating book or sharing his profound insights on the mysteries of life.

His gentle spirit, infectious laughter, and ability to make everyone feel welcome will be profoundly missed. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Irene Sigrist; sister-in-law, Christine (Juan) Fernandez; nephews, Alex Fernandez and Daniel Fernandez; and many extended family and friends.

To those who knew him, thank you for being a part of his life. Your love and support mean everything to our family during this difficult time.
