We can't even believe this is real. Our hearts are broken beyond measure. We love all you guys and you know we are always here for you. I know Marie would want us to celebrate her life so that is what we are going to focus on. We will see her again. We love and miss you Marie. You were the best aunt anyone could have. You will always be in our heart.

Stacey, Allen and Terry, I'm so sorry to hear about Marie. Considering how close her and my Mom were, she was more like an Aunt to all of us, more than just "my mom's friend". I have so many funny memories of her from growing up with her around. I think the one that stands out the most is a trip to the Isle of Palms when we were all little. I remember some of us were on the beach and some were in a raft out in the water, fins came up and Marie ran to the edge of the water and was screaming over and over to get out of the water that there were sharks in the water. A lifeguard had to come and tell her that it was nothing more than porpoises! LOL! Your Mom walked back to her beach chair with her hand over her eyes and I can hear her as if it were just yesterday "oh that's cool". I know my Mom will miss her terribly and her heart is broken over the loss of her best friend. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and will never forget Marie, may she rest in peace. Love you all! Pamela (Becky's daughter)

Stacey, Terry and Alan, I am so sorry to hear about Marie. Our Moms have been friends for so long that Marie was like an Aunt to all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I know the pain of the loss of a parent and will be praying for you daily. I have so many fun memories of Marie, but the one that stands out the most was at the Isle of Palms when the boys were in a raft out in the ocean and Marie saw fins and freaked out and ran to the edge of the water and started to scream "SHARK, SHARK, SHARK, get out of the water, SHARK". She had everyone's attention only to learn from the lifeguard that it was just porpoise! You have to watch out for those killer porpoises! I will miss her always!
