Linda Buchman Obituary

Linda Allen Buchman Hanahan - Linda Allen Buchman, 82, of Hanahan, South Carolina, wife of the late Robert W. Buchman, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Linda was born February 16, 1940 in Long Island, New York, daughter of the late Jesse Shutt and Frances Shutt. Her parents raised Linda and her brother, Richard, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Springfield High School, Springfield Pennsylvania, and the University of Pennsylvania, with a degree in Nursing. Linda was a devoted military wife and nurse. The military brought her to Hanahan, where she raised three boys. Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved dogs, especially bassets. She also enjoyed being a homemaker, love of country, puzzles, crosswords, family games and crafts. She is survived by her two sons, Mark Buchman (Tracy) of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Matthew Buchman (Michele McMyler) of Seattle, WA; four grandchildren, Abigail, and Andrew Buchman (children of Matthew and Michele), and Caroline and John Buchman (children of Mark and Tracy); and brother, Richard Schutt (Nan) of MD. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Maxwell Dickey, her second husband, Robert W. Buchman, and son, Greg Buchman. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at noon in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mt. Pleasant Chapel. The family will receive friends at 11:00 am before the service. Interment will be private. She will always be remembered for her love of her family, friends, and neighbors.
