Our friendship goes back to our youth and interactions on Nunan St. as well as at Burke High School where we matriculated. I´ll cherish the memory of my friend.

To the family of Ms. Lillian Nelson, I am sorry for the news about Ms. Nelson's death. It was an honor to serve as her Chaplain while she was in the hospital. Although she would tell me when I came by to visit with her that my Minister Lisa wasn't there. And then she would have such a beautiful laugh. Family on behalf of the Pastoral Care Dept. at BSSF Hospital, we send our condolences and are praying for God's peace and comfort for you all.

My heartfelt condolences to the family of Chuckie. I knew your mother when she was a teenager and we lived on Nunan street. Years later when I returned home and saw her she was the same sweet and kind person I knew.
For you - know she is at peace with no pain and with other loved ones. She´ll always be with you just keep her deep in your heart and the love will continue to flow.

We have been friends since ages 12 &13. We laughed together, and partied together as teenagers along with a large group of friends joan, mary, teenie, yvonne, (to name a few). I will miss her so much.

So very sad to hear the passing of chuckie. May God comfort the family through this difficult time.

It saddens me to learn of the passing of my long time childhood friend. We grew up together on Nunan St. and shared many wonderful experiences throughout high school. My condolences to Kim and Lisa, the loves of her life.

Chuckie has been a dear friend of mine since college. She was the best friend that anyone could have and will truly be missed. My prayers are with you and your families.

Chuckie, you were one of a kind. I will always cherish the memories that we made together while working on 3 Pettit Roper. I will also think of you with fondness when I make the vinegar candy that you loved so much! Rest well, Chuckie. I was so blessed to have been a part of your life and for the laughs and friendship that we shared. My sincere condolences to your beloved family.

My Mom Chee-Chee is in a fog, as they've been close since they were pre-teens & I heard when she visited NYC as a young adult, it was her first time having REAL pizza! Whether Chuck is NYC or my Mom is in Charleston, they always hook up, unless she's out of town & they spoke at least twice a week. Whenever my Mom took my son to Charleston, Chuck spoiled him rotten & she'd affectionately say, "I spoil em' & send em' home to his Mama." *shaking my head*
Maannnn, Cousin Chuckie was so loving, loved by all & will truly truly be missed. I'm sure her, Tank, cousin Boo, Elder cousin Bernice & Eldest cousin Power are up there, talkin' trash! (SMILE)

In Celebration of my classmates life Rest In Peace.

Lisa, Kim and your family, The lady I knew as Chuckie, was your Mother. I don´t believe I ever called her Lillian. I met her in 1980 a year after moving to Charleston at Roper Hospital. I worked the night shift and she was on days at the time and several years later she came to the night shift. Your Mom was a great nurse and a fine woman. Our schedules were very much the same, so we worked together, a lot. She loved her family. I always knew things were under control during our busy times. Thank you Chuckie, you will be missed, fly high with the Angels and be without pain or worry. It was my privilege to be your co-worker. With love, Barbara
