I'm sorry to hear the death of yours loved one. I have known Rev.Green since I was a little boy when I go to his barber shop and he alway give me a smile and laugh. Rev.Green had a spiritual words to give me to understand the knowledge of God word. George,I know it's hard to lose a father and you follow his footstep into the business. Rev.Green had fought a good fight and finished his course,he is resting peace with God. Let's not your heart be trouble,believe in God ,believe also in me,in my father's house there are many mansions. God want put no more on you to bear. My thoughts and prayer will be with you all during your time of bereavements. May God bless you all and keep the faith,God would never leave you nor forsake you.

Dear Mrs. Green,

Rev. Green supported me during low moments in my life. He encouraged and strengthened me so that I was able to continue. He was an inspiration to our church, Greater St. Paul; the community; my family and me. He will be missed.

I am saddened by the news of Rev. Green's death. I could only sit and reflect on his visits to Charleston where he took care of the needs of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Funderburke.The tenderness, gentleness and love that was shown as he ministered to her was indicative of his relationship with God.

May you be comforted to remember him as one of God's chosen vessels. One who lived the life that he preached about.

Continue to lean on God. He is your strength in times like these.

Pastor Green my Grand Uncle was a model for me as a young minister in the family and now a young Pastor myself, I will always remember his encouraging words to me.......You can do all things through Christ! We will miss his presence, but it is to present with the LORD.

Rev. Green was our father figure at Greater St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was the inspiration for the Green's Gospel Choir and led efforts to expand our facility, among other accomplishments. He was a joy to see. I shall NEVER forget that smile and the warm, warm hugs. He is truly missed. Even though his memory faded, he knew and loved us just the same.

Good bye, Rev. Green. You are loved dearly.
