Even though we had not kept in touch like I wished we did, I really miss her smile, her since of humor, and her humbleness. It was painful to see her go. But I believe that she is resting in God's grace. Remembering our early days working together at Robert Bosch and our special talks and crazy things we shared will always be in my heart. To the Washington and Edwards families, continue to hold those precious memories near to your heart and rest in knowing that we will see Letty again. Rest on sweetie.

To the Washington & Edwards Family,
I have known Letty for over 30 years. Our best memories would be those we shared at Garrett High School (where she played basketball and ran track and I was a cheerleader).
The last time I saw Letty was at the FalconFest back in July 2010. We had such a wonderful time. She was happy, joking around, and taking pictures of/with everyone. Letty, Barbara Dent, Valisa Sarvis, Pam Mack, Phyllis Griffin (my sister) and I met at Applebess for lunch. What a joyous time we had (but I had no idea that would be the last time I would see her smiling face and fellowship with her).
I know she is smiling and rejoicing in her heavenly home with Christ Jesus. The home where there is no more sorrow, sickness, and pain (the home way beyond the clouds) for she has been changed from mortal to immortal.
The Jesus in Letty made it so easy for me to love her, be friends with her, and spiritually filled by her presence.
God will grant you strength, comfort, and peace with Letty's separation from her earthly life to her heavenly life. God promises to take care of you.
Letty Washington Edwards, a true and faithful servant of GOD...Well Done.

Sitting in the parking lot at Bethlehem Christian Life Center waiting for the kid to finish practice I noticed a person's name on the sign. It was Letty Edwards. There is this lady who followed out of service one Sunday when we were leaving early (it was first Sunday and a very long service). She stopped us in the foyer and simply said: "I just wanted to come out here and say hello to you all and introduce myself. My name is Letty." Immediately I was interested in what she had to say because my maternal grandmother's name was Lettie. I didn't know at the time they had a different spelling. So every Sunday I would look for Letty in the choir stand. Sure enough there she was on the end holding it down.
Well I waited to see what the sign said. It scrolled back around to Letty's name and then I was distracted so I couldn't see the full announcement. Third time I caught it. At first I thought it was an announcement saying she was preaching Sunday. We would be in Memphis and would miss her message. But instead it read: Letty Edwards Homegoing Services.
Floored! So since I didn't know Letty's last name I couldn't be sure it was her. I instantly googled it on my phone. The obituary popped up with her picture. It was our Letty. Man oh man.
It's not like she was close to us as church members or anything. It was the simple fact that she took 2 minutes out of her life to just stop and say "hello" to someone she didn't know. We appreciate the love of Christ she distributed that day.

To the Edwards family:
Words cannot express the loss you have suffered. Tears are not enough to express your grief. The heartache that encompasses the emptiness felt in your soul cannot be replaced. But know that God is always there to provide you strength and stability during these times when it seems that your world ceases to exist. Know that prayers are lifted for the family, and voices are rejoicing as heaven has received an angel to add to their choir. We can only imagine how much sweeter Heaven sounds with her presence.
We will never forget her smiling face and warm embrace when we joined Bethelhem Baptist Church.
Blessings always,

To the family of this beloved angel of God, may you find comfort in your memories of her and strength in God's word. I worked with Letty at BMW and still remember her always humming a tune and her sweet spirit. She will always be remembered.

Letty you were a true Prayer Warrior, your presence and prayers are already missed here at Bethlehem. We are praying for Daniel, Letiesha, Dana, and DJ and we will do all we can to be there for them. We love you Letty

To the Washington & Edwards Family, you have my deepest sympathy and prayers. I was just in letty's presence two weeks ago. I turned around and saw that smile and stated "I know you" and she said, "yes you do"! and then there was Dido! OMG She was a beautiful, friendly person with a calming spirit that never passed judgement and I loved her for all of this. God loved her best. Rest In Peace My Sista! A beautiful flower has entered the Kingdom.
