I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Mr. Hair during one of my first days selling cars in Charleston. And I remember him vividly because he was one of the nicest men I've met. He was witty, smart and had no qualms about giving me a hard time. Mr. Hair was one of my favorite customers that I have ever worked with.

It was so many years ago that my parents, Sarge and Martine, would bring me to visit Uncle Peewee, Aunt Erika and Roy in their Charleston home. I have always remembered them with awe and fondness. Uncle Peewee was a man who could alternately make me feel very loved and completely terrified with his boisterous booming voice.
I pray for all those who are blessed to have so many more wonderful memories of this man.

Mr. PeeWee was a wonderful man and a great friend. He and my grandad, Albie Cochran, were best friends and great fishing buddies. I always enjoyed talking with them and listening to their fishing stories. I remember asking him where he caught all those fish, and he answered by hooking his finger in his lip and saying "right here"
God Bless his family.

I was introduced to "Pop", "PeeWee" almost 10 years ago when RJ, his grandson, started dating our daughter, and later marrying her. I loved to hear him pray. It was so touching as he talked to God. He loved the Lord and it was obvious. He loved his grandchildren so very much...that was very obvious. He made our daughter instantly feel a part of their family and that was very special. PeeWee was a very kind man who was very friendly and took great care of others. We feel very priveleged and honored to have known him. A man's man who loved his wife and family very much. It was pure joy seeing him with his great grandchildren. What a sweet bond they had with him. He will be missed by many but, praise God he is no longer in pain. He is enjoying the glories of Heaven and basking in the presence of his Savior.

I read Mr. Hair's obit today as his cap in the picture caught my attention. I do not know him or anyone in the family, but I felt compelled to "salute" Mr. Hair for his service to his country. He must have been a great guy.
My most sincere condolences to his family and friends. God bless you all!
