Leonard Thomas Martin Summerville - Leonard Thomas Martin, 79, of Summerville, husband of the late JoAnn Martin, passed away on January 30, 2022, at his residence. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 10 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485. Flowers will be accepted. Leonard was born on April 15, 1942, in Conway, SC, son of the late Harvey and Selena Martin. He loved going to the gym and listening to Johnny Cash. He loved hosting barbeques and riding his motorcycle. Survivors include: two daughters: Cathy Ann Bush (Greg) of Summerville and Mechelle Martin Cooper of Summerville; four grandchildren: Angel Cooper (Kevin) of Summerville, Dwayne Cooper (Ching Niu) of Ladson, Christina Bush (Matt) of Moncks Corner, and Michael Bush (Megan); six great-grandchildren: Sammi Chen, Anistyn Bush, Brodie Bush, Madison Thompkins, Xander Pauls, Dre Pauls; sister, Betty Jo Leigh of Summerville. In addition to his late wife, JoAnn, and parents, he was predeceased by his son, Dwayne Martin; great-granddaughter, Zoey Cordova; and six siblings: Gladys Wise, Nellie Phipps, Hazel Cobia, Burnie Martin, Herbert Martin, and James Martin.
