Leonard Flanders Obituary

Leonard "Jack" Barney Flanders N. Charleston - Leonard "Jack" Barney Flanders, 92, of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 2, 2022. His funeral service will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 in Northbridge Baptist Church at 11:00 am, and the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel. Jack was born November 4, 1929 in Statesboro, Georgia, son of the late Gurden Flanders and Iola Rauton Flanders. He is survived by his sons, Michael Leonard Flanders (Becky) and Daryll Flanders (Ruth); grandchildren, Jason, Chris, Quade, Layla, and Becca; 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Williams. Just three days after his passing, Jack's wife of 70 years, Dawn Gloria Fox Flanders, joined him in eternal rest. I'm very sorry for the loss of your parents. Jack used to come by my office at Lanier Construction back in the 1980's. It was always a pleasure to deal with him. He was such a gentle man. I'm happy to hear of the long life he lived and 70 years of marriage to Gloria--that's wonderful! I'm glad to see Flanders Carpets is still in business after all these years.
