Leon Douglas Williams CHIEFLAND, FL - Mr. Leon Douglas Williams, 73, passed away on November 29, 2016 at Haven Hospice in Chiefland, FL. Doug was born June 29, 1943 in Summerville, South Carolina to Mr. Thames Earl Williams and Mrs. Annie Kate Parker Williams. He served briefly in the United States Navy and worked for Xerox as a copier technician for 36 years before his retirement. Doug was of the Mormon Faith and a member of the Summerville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, riding motorcycles, camping, gun collecting. Doug loved classic Ford Mustangs and was a former member and past president of the Family Riders, a motorcycle riding club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thames Earl Williams and Annie Kate Parker Douglas, and his step-father, Buster Douglas. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Martha Williams, of Summerville, S.C.; 1 daughter, Heather Williams, of Summerville; 2 step-daughters, Missy Bell, and husband Michael, of Chiefland, FL, and Mindy Davis, and husband Micah, of Old Town; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; as a well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, December 2, 2016 in Shiloh Cemetery with Tommy Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM also on Friday, December 2nd at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home.
