Leo Lawrence Blakely N. Charleston - Leo Lawrence Blakely, 71, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Glenda Carol Bishop Blakely died Saturday, November 4, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. Interment with military honors will follow in McClellanville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, 9908 N. Highway 17, McClellanville, SC. The family will receive friends Wednesday in the Mount Pleasant Chapel, one hour prior to the service. Leo was born July 28, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Bertha Elizabeth Ackerman Blakely and the late Leo W. Blakely. He served in the United States Marine Corps and after retiring became a truck driver. He was a member of McClellanville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Leo was an NCIS fan and enjoyed watching old westerns and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Blakely of North Charleston, SC; mother, Bertha Blakely of McClellanville, SC; children, Jeannette Dale of Goose Creek, SC, Amanda Blakely of James Island, SC, Diane Carrig of Jamestown, SC, Brenda Snyder of North Charleston, SC, Jimmy Snyder of Tampa, FL, Robin Haynes of North Charleston, SC, Jody Haynes of Hanahan, SC; siblings Michael Blakely of Honey Hill, SC, Gloria Mills of Georgetown, SC, Ann Lucas of Jamestown, SC, James Blakely of Bethera, SC, Rev. Geary Blakely of McClellanville, SC, Debra Swails of Georgetown, SC and Marty Blakely of North Carolina; ten grandchildren, Brittany, Dayna, Brandon, Dai' Vohn, Austin, Randal, Samone, Gage, TJ and Kylie; and two great-grandchildren.
