Leila Smith Obituary

Leila Smith Colleyvine, TX - Leila Jean Grimsley Smith, 88-years-young, went to be with her heavenly father on July 17, 2016 in Colleyvine, TX. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Goose Creek at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Local arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL. Leila was born on May 7, 1928 in Florence, SC, one of ten siblings to John and Leila Grimsley. She married Donald Lee Smith and together they raised two children, Donnie and Carmen. Leila worked for Charleston Naval Ship Yard for 32 years, as well as a licensed real estate agent. She was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star, Azalea Chapter. Those preceding her in death are her parents and husband. Those left to cherish Leila's Memory are her son, Don Smith and his wife Susan; daughter, Carmen Reynolds and her husband Michael; grandchildren: Donnie Smith, Jr. and his wife Laura, Charlie Smith and his wife Heather, Amy Lewis and her husband Randall, Kristen Reed and her husband Brandon, Johnny Tisdale and his wife Amanda, Catherine Owen and her husband William, Mikey Clark and his wife Deanna, Shelli Clark and significant other Thomas Martin, Sydney Clark and Brandon Reynolds and his wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren: Madisen, Paxlee, Jase, Caleb, Hope, Fynn, Hollis, Jack, Charlize, Stella, Claire, Brooks, Kailee, McKenna, Corbin and Grace.
