Dear Lee Anne and Family - We just heard the sad news this morning, several months too late. Although we left Charleston 10 years ago we will always remember and cherish those dear times we spent together on Stinson Drive; listening out for each other's children and spending many fun evenings together.

Of course, I've known Lee ever since St. Andrews Elementary School. He was always such a kind and happy soul - always there with a great joke, and his hearty laugh will never be forgotten.

May G-d grant you the strength to continue with your life through this dark period, and my the wonderful memories of the time you spent together be a continued source of comfort for the rest of your lives.

All our love,

Nell and Ray Crenshaw

Isn't it wonderful to have roots in one place all of your life? To me West of the Ashley is a city of its own. Most everyone I have known since the 70's was at Lee's funeral.

It is sad that you can't see more of all the people who touch our lives like Lee, even for those of us who have not seen Lee in a long time,he sticks with you the rest of your life as such a wonderful caring and fun guy. He will be missed by a lot of people.

We thought we were going to be too late for the viewing Wednesday but were amazed to find the long line still waiting to get in when we got there. It was a long drive but worth it all. LeeAnn showed such strength and grace during all of this, and it is good to know Lee is finally at peace and out of pain. We will all miss him. Thoughts and prayers will continue for all of you.

Dennis,

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Lee. It's hard to believe that we can lose someone so young and full of life. It doesn't seem fair. I lost my brother Ed in 2004. Only time seems to heal. May God be with you all at this time of need. I'll be praying for you all. Mary { The Parkwood Gang and Class of 1974)

God Bless you,

Dear LeeAnne,

When we were in high school, Lee and I played basketball at Stono all the time. Once, after a very rowdy group of games, LEROY punched me right in the eye. The next day at school, I saw him right away, as I walked up the campus, and thought OK, here it comes again-we are really going to go at it now. That boy grabbed me, hugged me, and apologized, over and over again. He apoplogized nearly everyday for the next YEAR! And we have always been friends.

By the turn out of family and friends on Wednesday, it was clear that LEE... INFECTED each of us with his love and friendship, and he will surely be missed.

All the best,

Brad

Lee Ducker was the best neighbor Randy and I ever had. He was always there with a smile and never ending jokes. He always had the most distinctive laugh and I can hear it right now. I know he will be desparately missed, but please take comfort that he is definitely sitting with God right now, maybe even telling him a joke.

To Lee Ann, Roger, Emily, and Ms Mary, Dennis, and Judy,

How do you write in such a small space all of the life long memories you have of someone. Pick out one to recall and smile and chuckle. Then after knowing someone over 35 years, you could spend a life-time of chuckling and smiles. There were many my friend. And all will remain in my heart and my mind. He did fight the good fight. But we can all rest now knowing he is in a better place. I will miss my friend. Though we didn't see each other as often as we would have liked, the friendship never wained. May the whole Ducker family now have peace knowing that Lee is in a much better place now. May the all the members of the Stono Gang bow our heads at the loss of another fine member.

Lee will always be remembered as a fighter. I will remember Lee for always being the life of whatever was going on. He would always seem to bring laughter to any situation. I will always cherish the memories we had growing up in Stono Park, especially when we had the big snow in the early 70's. What great memories.

Our condolences and prayers go out to Lee Ann, Roger, Emily, Dennis, and Ms. Mary. We can all take comfort that Lee will not be alone as he passes from earth to his new home in heaven. He will be able to be with his father and his childhood best friend Rusty G.

Our pryers are with you!

To the Ducker family, and the remaining members of the Stono Gang:

I know you will find what comfort there is in remembering the life Lee lived and the friends and family he loved. It is impossible for me to attend the sevices, but to those of you who walk down to the river bank, or out on the dock, to tip one last cold one for Lee, count me in. Peace and love to all. Good man gone. Stan

Lee, my cousin and most importantly my friend. The times we spent together since wearing cloth diapers til our last time together at OctoberFest in Savanah will always be in my heart and memory.

We could always talk about anything and everything. Or just sit and know that nothing further needed saying. I have been dreading this day for some time, but, he has gone on to join Roy and Glenn in the giant seafood buffet in the sky. Including a beverage to wash it all down.

We are all better people for knowing him and I will miss him greatly.

My Mom would like to send her heart felt wishes to you all. We both send our love and continue to keep you all in our prayers as you carry on in the comming days.

We know Lee was a great husband, father, and grandfather. You can be comforted to know that he was a pleasure to be around and talk with.
