Lawrence Buzbee Obituary

BUZBEE, Lawrence A., Sr. "Bob," 75, of Ruskin, died September 20, 2003 at James A. Haley Veterans Medical Center. He was a tugboat captain for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Ex P.O.W.'s Greater Tampa Bay Chapter. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Devon. Survivors include his wife Jewel; two sons, Larry Riley and his wife Marie, and Lawrence "Bubba" Buzbee, Jr. and his wife Tracey; three daughters, Celeste Buzbee, Cathy Wilson and her husband Bill and Annette Amerson; three brothers, Lamar Buzbee, Ralph Buzbee and Alfred "Buddy" Buzbee; a sister, Joyce Crenshaw; and six grandchildren, Bill, Jr., Aaron, Danny, Jarrod, Lauren and Tristan. Funeral Service 10 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Ruskin, 820 College Avenue West, Ruskin, with Reverend Barry Rumsey officiating. Interment with Military Honors at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Fla. The family will receive friend s 6-8 p.m.,Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at Sun City Center Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Ruskin Christian School, 820 College Avenue West, Ruskin, FL 33570. Arrangements Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Fla. (813) 634-9900.
